Bean dislikes unwarranted excuses..

Things forcibly given when you don't need are UNWANTED.
(you just gotta chuck it somewhere..)

Sour grapes comments are SOUR !
(they're envious and bitter..)

Excuses are FRUSTRATING to swallow and accept !!
(sometimes excuses are also reasons..)

Naggings are so BORING to listen to/sit thru !!!
(it's the personality of your friend you've gotta learn to accept..)

bean loves to read..

Reading is good.
It quenches my thirst for knowledge and satisfies the questions my curiosity brings.
Surfing websites is reading. Browsing through magazines too. Newspapers is also reading. I even prefer to read subtitles off some tv shows..

It's a very useful way of passing time too.
I read regularly to and fro my journey to work.
It's a worthwhile habit to have I reckon.
Espcially for me. Not a big fan of sleeping in transit.

bean dislikes ugliness of being stingy or calculative..

It's something I grew up absolutely disliking.
It's the ugliest a person can be to me.

Haggling for prices at markets is acceptable to a certain degree with the inflation and all..
But it's just totally UNacceptable in my opinion to be calculative and stingy to your frens or family members.

I mean.. do you realli value that lil' bit of change more than u value ur fren?

bean sees the effort, not just the cost..

I value gifts of effort and heart more than the cost of the gift.

A handmade card has much more individuality & sincerity than some expensively designed bday card..

A handpicked gift which suits me perfectly spells the careful consideration taken in selecting the gift and thus shows the heart and love..

I dislike group gatherings to celebrate my bday but are not planned in anyway.. (especially those that results in big boring disappointments..)
I dislike group gifts which are hurriedly bought without careful considerations.
The gift will be classified as one that shows pretense of heart.

ie. oh, it's ur bday. oh, we need a gift. oh, let's just get u this. coz it solves our dilemma of choosing the gift. if it's sincere, just a good gathering without a gift would do more to feel loved..

*ps: maybe it's me.. maybe i hv higher demands for friends? but this is how i feel.. and sometimes i dunno how to express myself in a way which ain't myself. i've always been wearing my mood on my face to my real frens.. i realli dun mean to show my disappointment to my fellow mates in the past and i'm realli still glad the thought of it is present. =)
